Seven Girls, Two Boys!!!

Crystal had 4 girls and 1 boy through a difficult and lengthy labor. Reportedly, she is doing fine, as are the babies. So with Angel's three girls and a boy - the breeder has a houseful!! We probably won't know which litter our little girl will come from for many weeks.

Angel is an experienced mom but this is Crystal's first litter and she is restless and struggling with the role. She wants to get up and move around but needs to stay close to the pups to keep them warm. They are watching her, closely, to make sure no mishaps happen while she figures things out. The first pup needed help to be born and weighed 9 ounces. The breeder has had healthy pups that only weighed 7 ounces so she is not worried.

The pups started coming yesterday afternoon and there was way too much time between each birth for the breeder to be comfortable. Crystal didn't finish until the wee hours of the morning but things seem fine, today.

Husband and I are going to try to visit after Christmas. I told the breeder to shake her camera to see if she can get it up and running.

So we are happy and excited at our house!

I am going to go work on Jezebel's quilt for a bit, then think about putting up Christmas decorations.

With that many girls - I would say you have excellent odds to bring home a puppy very soon! Putting up Christmas decorations today sounds like an excellent plan.

With 7 girls looks like good odds of getting a little girl...
