Pathetic Confession

Husband gave me a GPS for Christmas and I use it all the time since I do home and school visits to places I've never been before. I love that thing. It is light years beyond my old GPS (although I loved that one, too). Sometimes, when I am running ahead on home visits, I have a couple of minutes before I am due to knock on the door. The GPS is programed for our house in Oklahoma. Sometimes I check to see how far away I am and how I would get there from my location at the time. When I see that I could be home (hypothetically) by, say, 6:00 the next morning, sometimes I am irrationally tempted to just start driving. I've never given in to this temptation. Someday, I might. It could happen.

We've got a three week trip back home scheduled for this summer. Counting the days.

So now, I have officially descended into the maudlin, self indulgent, navel gazing type of post that we all love to hate. I'll try to put something up worth reading, soon.

Penny, we just drove 20 hours straight through from Texas to Virginia. It's nice to get there, but the trip is exhausting! Especially since we did the whole trip in 3 and a half days. It's good to be home!

It is okay to be homesick, Penny. That is when it concerns OKLAHOMA where the wind comes sweeping down the plain this time of year, things are turning green, flowers are blooming, thunderstorms, and tornados are in the forcast. No one but a person from OK. would understand how we love this state! Sarah

Oh, I know just how you feel. The few times we have been away (while my sweetheart was in the service, etc.) we were so homesick. Even when we take trips, the best part is coming home to Oklahoma. Right now the redbuds are blooming, the grass and trees are greening, and gardens are being planted. What a wonderful state...come home soon :)
