Surf and Sand HGTV Challenge - Kentucky

Here is the third block for the HGTV Surf and Sand Challenge. The pattern is Kentucky in Carol Doak's Fifty Stars book. I put it together this morning before the phone started ringing following the long holiday weekend.

Here are the first three:

The girls helped.

Evelyn and Jezebel (not shown) decided to sing a bit while I was taking pictures.

I love it when they sing! Too bad I can't hear them - but they look so happy.

Your blocks look fantastic. The fabric isn't a color I'm comfortable with but you're doing a great job with it.

Ahem. Speaking of color choices, Husband mentioned that they looked "washed out" and that "beige really isn't even a color."

It is amazing that he has managed to stay alive so long.

these are looking so great. i agree with you they have so much more "dimension" than the patriotic ones...though i like those too. that one block almost pops off the page. the girls are looking cute as ever.

LOL. Tell Husband that the quilt will have the patina of an antique without being old.
