The Mockingbird is dealt a setback

So I spent two hours at the local Hobby Lobby today and never saw so much trashy junk.

I wanted ALL of it!!

I ended up getting some stickers to put on flat flower pins to help me with block placement.  Here is a closeup.

The letter is the row and the number is the column.  In theory, it is supposed to help me keep the blocks in the right order.

So I think I found a really good spot for my birdcam and have been excited about the pictures I've been getting.

These are just the wicked mockingbird but there are other ones but they didn't turn out as good.  Unfortunately, the big fence post that I had the birdcam strapped to fell over and that was the end of pictures for the day.  I have not been real confident that the post was going to hold (it is just propped up) so I ended up dismantling the perfect bird feeding station and setting it up on a log out in the pasture with the birdcam strapped to the fence.  I am not optimistic it will be as good on the light.  Moreover, it has less cover and is out in the pasture so I'll have to go out there to refill the station.  The good news is that I don't have to worry that the birdcam will be crushed.  I'll see how this experiment goes.

I watched after I moved the feeding station and that mockingbird was P*SSED!!  hehehehe.

Happy Quilting,

Good thing you have dogs and not cats - I've heard of mockingbirds chasing cats right out the yard.

I want one of those! (the camera, not the mockingbird)
